Open edition Illusion mirror, designed in response to the theme DUCTILITY, for alt.material, an exhibition part of NGV Melbourne Design Week 2020.
Mild steel spun over a custom timber mould with recessed graphic illusion mirror, this piece explores material ductility and the perception of form.
When viewed at eye level from left to right at a 45° angle, the mirror appears to bend inwards and protrude outwards, reflecting the curved form of the outer steel frame.
